Founded in 1914, its Ontario's third largest public art gallery and owns a collection of 8,500 artworks. The gallery has three major collecting and programming strengths -- 19th-century European, Historical Canadian and Contemporary Canadian. Tues & Wed noon - 7 pm, Thur & Fri noon - 9 pm, Sat & Sun noon - 5 pm. Admission charged.

Established in 2001, Transit Gallery is dedicated to showing a mix of local area artists and showcasing talent from across Canada. This contemporary commercial art gallery has three gallery spaces spread over 1200 square feet. It features monthly solo exhibitions as well as group shows by gallery artists. Tues to Sat 10 am - 6 pm, Fri till 9 pm, Sun noon - 4 pm.
